is an artist, curator and applied cultural theorist with a focus on performative spatial production. He studied cultural anthropology/media studies (University of Vienna) and art/cultural studies (University of Dundee, Scotland, Goldsmiths College, London). After 15 years abroad, practicing art in theory and practice at various universities (Essex University, Goldsmiths College, London Metropolitan University), he returned to Austria in 2009 to live in Vienna. His works combine different geographies with (thought) space-specific behavior; stagings and real situations are placed under certain framework conditions and placed in relation to each other. In particular, performative interventions serve as a working method for the exploration of in/formal knowledge production. www.geraldstraub.wordpress.com
