LIFT Kollektiv (AT/DE)

Fia Neises’ artistic direction for “WITH OR WITHOUT YOU” (WOWY) was characterized by the close collaboration with the artists Irene Giró, Tanja Erhart and Liv Schellander. Irene Giró, an autodidact and co-choreographer, developed innovative methods of audio description and touch to integrate a non-visual Aerial Silk practice. Tanja Erhart, with her many years of experience as a disabled dancer and dramaturge, focused on pleasure as a radical interface between disability and feminism. Liv Schellander, an experienced dancer and choreographer, brought her expertise in Somatic Experiencing, among other things, to create a sensitive and intimate space for the rehearsal process of WOWY. Together they now form LIFT, a collective of queer and/or disabled artists who, through their collaboration, create new narrative and performative spaces to challenge and deconstruct standardized biographies.
