is a performer, dancer and choreographer living in Vienna. After studying at the MUK University in Vienna and the Escola Superior de Danca in Lisbon, she worked on her first choreographic and filmic short works “Where does the body begin?”, “Endstation Seestadt” and “My pony is over the ocean”. She has also collaborated with Nature Theater of Oklahoma, Florentina Holzinger, Doris Uhlich, El Conde de Torrefiel, Adolfo Garcia, Brigitte Wilfing, Saint Genet, Steirischer Herbst and PARALLEL Vienna. In 2017, as part of a call for proposals from the Federal Chancellery for Art and Culture, she received mentoring with the renowned Austrian choreographer Doris Uhlich. In 2018, Sophia Hörmann received the “City Dancer 2018” scholarship in Klagenfurt. Residencies including at nadaLokal (Amanda Pina) and workplace in Vienna. In 2019 she showed her solo “GLOWING current moods” as part of the imagetanz festival in brut.
