Bräuhausgasse 40, 1050 Vienna

internal workshop in the context of the Temporary School for the Development of Beautiful Gestures.

What kind of impact does my work, my social engagement, my art have? How can it be measured? Is success a criterion by which I want to judge my actions? How to deal with defeats, with apparent failure or doubts?

With my very personal reflections on these questions in my work, I would like to offer a space for exchange. Impulses on the themes of art & spirituality  and mysticism & resistance in Andrei Tarkovsky, Simone Weil, Dorothee Sölle and Thomas Merton.

Cristina Yurena Zerr (DE/AT) grew up between Gran Canaria and Southern Germany. She studied social sciences and art in Vienna. She works as a filmmaker, guest lecturer and publishes texts on anti-militarism and Christian libertarian movements. In her work, she repeatedly deals with the interaction of mysticism and resistance.
