* Optional workshop: Investigating Modes of Research // Anita Kaya and Laura Vilar
29.–31. January 2025, preferably 10-15h (1h break)
It is an offer at the beginning of a project, in the research phase, in the group. Based on Silvio Lang’s statement that “we artists do not create works of art, but invent practices”, we propose this intensive workshop as a space to explore together through, from and with your own research.
Artistic research consists of complex processes that generate different systems of relations between documents, movements, sources, productions, readings, ideas, sensations, materials, … between and with which resonances are created.
We propose to collectively expand our own aims and research methods during these days to allow sensitive material to emerge (thoughts, gestures, materialities, questions, practices, etc.) that perhaps touch the subjects themselves at the edges, in the folds, in spaces or relationships that we do not see
Objective of the proposal:
– Generate a space for conversation/exchange about the ways in which each of us nourishes our research.
– Recognize aspects, criteria and other characteristics that are already at work in your own research.
– To develop tools that enable the unfolding of new possibilities for ongoing research through dance(s) and writing.
– Recognize parameters for what emerges during the process.
