Satu Herrala
Satu Herrala is a Finnish performer and choreographer living and working in Vienna. She graduated from the North Karelia College, dance department in 2002. She also did further studies in the Theatre Academy of Helsinki and she studied speech sciences and psychology in the University of Helsinki. She worked as a freelance performer and teacher and made her own and collaborative works in Finland, Norway and Russia. In 2004 she took part in the danceWEB Scholarship program at the Impulstanz-festival and in February 2006 she joined Cie. Willi Dorner in Vienna. She has been creating and performing several works with the company and touring extensively in Europe, USA and Israel. She is a founding member of two artists’ collectives, “Viritetty rauta” with Anna-Maija Terävä and “The Kissinsky Family” with Lieve De Pourcq.
